Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using NUBAN KYC API, including our website, dashboard, and verification services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Description of Service

NUBAN KYC API provides identity verification services for businesses operating in Nigeria, including:

• Bank Verification Number (BVN) checks
• National Identification Number (NIN) verification
• Bank Account Name lookup
• Driver’s License verification (when available)

We act as a technology provider facilitating access to authorized data sources for compliance purposes.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be a registered business or legal entity in Nigeria to use our services. By creating an account, you represent that you have the authority to bind your organization to these terms.

4. One-Time Setup Fee & Pricing

• A one-time non-refundable setup fee of ₦25,000 is required to activate your account.
• You receive ₦3,000 worth of free verification credits upon setup.
• Pay-as-you-go pricing applies: BVN (₦150), NIN (₦200), Account Name (₦5) per successful call.
• All prices are in Nigerian Naira and subject to change with notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our services only for legitimate KYC/AML compliance purposes, such as:

• Onboarding new customers
• Performing due diligence
• Preventing fraud and financial crimes

Prohibited Uses:

• Using the API for personal, non-business purposes
• Reselling or redistributing data obtained through our API
• Attempting to reverse engineer or overload our systems
• Using the service to harass, discriminate, or violate any person's rights

6. API Usage & Rate Limits

We reserve the right to impose rate limits to ensure service stability. Excessive or abusive usage may result in temporary suspension or termination of your account.

7. Data Handling & Compliance

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of our services complies with all applicable laws, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), CBN regulations, and AML requirements.

We do not store sensitive biometric or full KYC data after delivering the verification result to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to maintain sufficient wallet balance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Lagos State.
